Harmony is the sense of cohesiveness between the elements in a composition. The elements should not be exactly the same completely different but related in some way.
ASSIGNMENT :-
FLORA AND
FAUNA
Flora and fauna refer to plants and animals in
the broadest sense of the words, encompassing pretty much all life on Earth. So
basically, flora is all the naturally occurring native plants and all the
animals are termed as fauna. So, I tried to show harmony in by the concept of
flora and fauna. Through my installation assignment I tried to show harmony in
color by using the same color throughout, harmony in texture by using tissue
paper to build the flora, harmony in shape by using same shapes of tissue balls and butterflies.
For my installation I have used these material:-
Firstly I have taken
cardboard and
copper wires to
make the core
structure of the tree.
Cut the cardboard in circular shape and attached wires to the desired length.
Covered the whole
copper structure from
tissue papers and glue
This gives wooden
texture
Made branches u rolling
newspaper and covering it
firstly from paper tape and
then with tissue paper and
glue
This makes the structure
hard and textured
Top view
Covered the top with tissue
and glue to hide the holes
Made butterflies of
different size and
attached it with copper
wire
Attached lights
Covered it with tissues
And at last made these tissue balls and attached it to the tree
HERE IS THE FINAL LOOK OF MY INSTALLATION :-
So, in my installation assignment I have shown harmony in different elements. I have shown harmony in texture by using tissue paper throughout the installation. And I have shown harmony in shape through tissue balls on tree and through the shape of butterflies. At last I have shown harmony in color by using similar color for the whole installation.
