MINIMALISM

 WHAT ACTUALLY MINIMALISM IS?

Minimalism is a term which is all about living with less. This includes less financial burdens such as debt and unnecessary expenses. It refers to a lifestyle that is all about living with less and it helps us to discover purpose in our life. It makes one to think and analyze his needs and then act towards living a life with main elements.

BENEFITS OF BEING A MINIMALISM:-

Being a minimalist helps you to :-

  • Be free from financial distress.
  • Live in a moment.
  • Pursue our passion.
  • Discover our mission.
  • Experience the real freedom.
  • Create more, consume less.
  • Focus on our health.
  • Grow as an individual.
  • Discover people in our lives.

Minimalism is not the same for everyone. Each individual is different and so are their needs. It is about quality and quantity. Minimalism is not about having less but it is about making space for more of what matters.

Minimalism is basically a person who practices minimalism. A minimalist knows what exactly they need and why they need it. Minimalists suggest several steps to adopt such a lifestyle.

One such interesting challenge is 'project 333.' Under this challenge one needs to choose

only 33 items ( including clothing, footwear and accessories) which he/she would be using for three months.. No other items should be used. Other challenges include a '30 days challenge' where one needs to get rid of 1 product on day 1, 2 on day 2, 3 on day 3 and so on. Minimalism doesn't mean throwing away all personal stuff of living a rudimentary life. It simply means owing those things that you actually need.

  1. I agree that minimalism is a relative concept, what may be less for one, may be more than enough for someone else. So the best way to practice it is to keep a check on your needs and wants!

  2. very well written. Possessions can make us happy only for brief periods. Unnecessary material objects suck up our time, our energy and our freedom.

  3. Materialistic needs must go away. Happiness needs to be found in people and experiences around you. Only then can one start thinking about minimalism otherwise it looks like a very difficult form of life that is difficult to sustain. But once someone understands this, life in general seems so easy and good. This is the essence of minimalism and it is really well captured here

  4. Very well written! I like the idea of 333, it can be an eye opener and can give a justification between our actual needs and wants.
