Shopping gives us thrills and high. As we enter those posh malls, we are overwhelmed by the bright shiny lights, minimalistic decor, and all kind of sale tags printed in bold. The prints, the designs. The color palette to the trend and what not. We all love fashion. We all know what we want and what we need. Want and need. Yes, the two basic and the most important terms in every consumers life. We all know that there is a huge difference between want and need but when it comes to society, people tend to forget the difference between the two terms.

Fashion creatives and creatives are tempted to buy new clothes to keep the gram-fam not just happy but also updated about the latest trend but every price you buy, the planet pays for the price.

Form attending lavish parties to family functions, we often every big events to small occasions we often require to buy new clothes so that we are not made fun off or simply we do not become a part of the gossips that our relatives especially we all have that one aunty who notices everything, loves to do.

It would be wrong to blame just this generation for their naivety, we the youth also is responsible for the fast fashion. As we have this craze of buying new clothes in the beginning of every semester.

Nevertheless, with growing awareness among the young generation about harmful effects of fast fashion, the mindset of people is changing.

Through initiatives by activists and NGOs working towards increasing awareness about the harmful effects of fast fashion. Small scale retail labels like Eka, Anokhi have entered the market to manufacture garments in an organic way.
